Legal & Compliance Executive @ Human Resources (Petaling Jaya)

Responsibilities & Duties
- Develop and update internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Conduct regular audits and assessment to identify areas of non-compliance and implement corrective actions.
- Assist in resolving legal disputes and regulatory inquiries.
- Provide guidance and support to employees on legal and compliance requirements.
- Assist the BOD in organizing and conducting board meetings, including preparing agendas.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, such as filing of annual returns, financial statements, and other necessary documents.
- Assist in coordinating with external legal counsel, auditor, and regulatory bodies when necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date corporate records and documentation.
- Prepare reports and presentations for management and regulatory bodies when necessary.
- Any ad-hoc duties assigned from time to time.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Business Administration or equivalent (Additional qualifications like MAICSA preferred).
- Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years.
- Proven experience in Legal & Compliance Management, Company Secretary, preferable in corporate setting.
- Required Language: Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Mandarin.
- Required Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail and strong organization skills.
- IT Savvy: Yes.
- Travelling Requirement: Yes.
- Working Hours & Off Day: Regular & flexible working hours.
- Based at Petaling Jaya.
