Legal & Compliance Executive @ Human Resources (Petaling Jaya)

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop and update internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessment to identify areas of non-compliance and implement corrective actions.
  • Assist in resolving legal disputes and regulatory inquiries.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on legal and compliance requirements.
  • Assist the BOD in organizing and conducting board meetings, including preparing agendas.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, such as filing of annual returns, financial statements, and other necessary documents.
  • Assist in coordinating with external legal counsel, auditor, and regulatory bodies when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date corporate records and documentation.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for management and regulatory bodies when necessary.
  • Any ad-hoc duties assigned from time to time.


Requirements & Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Business Administration or equivalent (Additional qualifications like MAICSA preferred).
  • Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years.
  • Proven experience in Legal & Compliance Management, Company Secretary, preferable in corporate setting.
  • Required Language: Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Mandarin.
  • Required Skills:
    1. In-depth knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
    2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    4. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
    5. Attention to detail and strong organization skills.

  • Based at Petaling Jaya.
